Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) – The association of enforcement agencies that together receive MCSAP monies and conduct endorcement and educational activities within the states.

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) – The highway agency within the US DOT.

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) – Federal agency assigned the duty of regulating commercial transportation.

EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership – EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership is an innovative program that recognizes Partners for setting and achieving greenhouse gas (GHS) reduction goals in freight transport.

National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) – Federal agency which regulates vehicle manufacturing and distribution. NHTSA issues vehicle safety, defect, and equipment recalls.

National Safety Council (NSC) – The congressionally mandated home of safety in the U.S. and defensive driving programs.

National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) – Investigative agency assigned the duty of analyzing crashes and making recommendations.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) – Agency responsible for regulating on-the-job safety, including shop personnel, loaders, forklifts, and repetitive motion work.

Safer System – Database maintained by the FMCSA which contains motor carrier safety records and other information for public review.

SafeStat – Detailed history of motor carrier's operations with respect to vehicles, drivers, and accidents.

Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) – The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has for the last 69 years dedicated itself to representing the interests of truckload carriers.

U.S. Department of Transportation –Federal agency responsible for transportation, including railroads, pipelines, airlines, and maritime activity.
